What the badges actually mean.
Trust on Buddyly is earned twice: once through identity verification, then continuously through behaviour. Badges compress that history into something you can read at a glance.
Bronze — fully verified
Every companion starts here, and 'here' is already a high bar: all 6 identity checks passed, including a hand-reviewed Aadhaar card and photo ID, a selfie match, and the accepted agreement and safety pledge.
Silver — 5 clean sessions
Five completed sessions with zero substantiated safety reports. Silver companions have a real, verified track record on the platform — not just paperwork.
Gold — 25 sessions, 4.7+ rating
The top tier: at least 25 clean sessions and a sustained rating of 4.7 or higher. Gold is earned slowly and lost quickly — a single substantiated violation removes it.
Ratings work both ways: companions rate users too, and the same thresholds apply. Everything that feeds a badge — verification steps, session counts, ratings — is visible on the Safety page, including the live numbers.
